Investigation: Roger’s Christmas Village- Magnolia
House and Cottage House

Investigators present: Robyn, Melissa, John, Kim, Al and
Wanda

Reported Activity: There has not been any activity
reported in the Magnolia House or the Cottage by employees of the Christmas
Village.

Located on the premises of Rogers Christmas Village, the Magnolia House was built in 1887
and moved from its original location a few blocks away on Jefferson Street to
where it sits now at 103 South Saxon Avenue in Brooksville, Florida. A
beautifully maintained commercial building now, the Magnolia House was once a
private residence and when it was moved to its current position, the building
was cut into three sections to make the move easier. Mr. Rodriguez tells LSPIR
that when the house was put back together on its current location, it was only
off by less than ¼ inch. You would never know it to walk around this
wonderfully decorated house. It has since been added on to and is now much
larger than its original size.

Just outside the front doors of the Magnolia House to your right there sits a small white
building that’s nestled between the Magnolia House and the Main building on the
compound. Mr. Rodriguez tells us that the Cottage House was originally used as
the stables. This building houses a more tropical theme of Christmas décor.

The
Investigation:

The team arrived at the Magnolia House at 8pm on March 29^th, 2008.

It was a clear night with a few scattered clouds. The temperature was a comfortable 76
degrees. The humidity was not documented. It was a Last Quarter Moon at 46.1%
illuminated.

We set up Central Command in the dining room area of the Magnolia House. The first team
at Cent Com was John and Kim. Al and Wanda went into the Cottage House and set
up a video camera. Melissa and Robyn headed for the front room of the Magnolia
House for an EVP session. This is the room that some members noticed a light
going on off and on in the window of during the investigation at the main house
the month before. So, special attention was given to that particular room.

During the EVP session Melissa and Robyn asked for a sign of someone’s presence. Upon
asking for that sign, a slight tapping noise was heard by both investigators.
They quickly dismissed it as having sounded like someone at Cent Com; just a
few rooms away, slapping their thigh. It wasn’t until later, when both Kim and
John were asked if anyone in that room had made such a sound or motion, that it
was realized it could have been a legitimate sign.

After awhile of doing EVP work Melissa decided to try to invite some sort of physical
contact. She stood up in the room and held out her hand asking any presence to
touch her there. After only a few short minutes, Melissa began to feel a cool
sensation on the underside of her outstretched hand. Then she began to feel a
tingling sensation. Robyn put her hand out as well in hopes of experiencing
what Melissa was. It wasn’t long before the palm of Robyn’s hand began to feel
cooler too. It was almost as though a very small cold wind was grazing the palm
of her upturned hand. Not long after the cool feeling, she began to feel an
electrical sensation across the tips of her fingers. Pictures were snapped
during this time by the women’s free hands. In one of those photos an odd shape
appears as a reflection in the mirror of a small vanity that sits just outside
the doorway of the room in which they stood. Nothing else was reported in this
room by Melissa or Robyn.

When it was John and Kim’s turn to investigate this room, Kim also felt what she described
as a cold feeling in the palm of her hand as well as electrical sensations.
This team also asked for a sign of any presence in this room. Coincidently,
they received the very same tapping noise in response as Melissa and Robyn had
heard earlier in the evening. They attempted to recreate the noise thinking it
was a small lamp moving on a table nearby when John walked across the floor. He
walked by repeatedly, yet the lamp never moved and the sound could not be
recreated. The noise was physically heard by both investigators yet, on the
audio, there was an additional tapping noise that they did not hear.

In the
Cottage it seemed as though just about every investigator got the very same
feeling as they walked into or toward the farthest back room to the left of the
front door. It would send goose bumps up the bodies of most of them but, they
all got the same message, “Get Out!” It would seem as though there is an entity
in the Cottage House that wants nothing more than to be left alone. Message
received. While we don’t feel this entity is malevolent, it does seem as though
it would rather not be bothered by people traipsing through the Cottage House
at night.

During the time that Kim and John were in the Cottage House, they heard bells jingling
upon first walking in. John had turned on the voice recorder right after the
noise was heard. The two of them went about trying to locate the source of the
jingling sound. Kim reported to hear whispering voices while they searched.
EVPs revealed some voices were captured during their time in that building. Two
voices in particular, one being a woman that appeared to be very friendly and
curious about them and what they were doing. The other voice we believe is the
voice of the male entity that is not happy with people going in there. His
words can be clearly heard on the audio collected and he reiterates what most of
our team felt that night in that small building.

During the time that Melissa and Robyn were in the Cottage House, they heard no voices.
Though, at one point while sitting at the opposite end of the room with the
negative feelings, both investigators witnessed a shadow move swiftly across
the far wall and into the darkness. Robyn carried with her a handheld video
camera with external infrared lights. Some anomalies that couldn’t be explained
were found on that video. They did make note that there were a few insects
flying around the building at that time but, the anomalies noted could not be
insects.

During the course of the investigation Robyn and Melissa headed up into the attic of the
Magnolia House. It’s a rather large attic with areas that branch off in
different directions from the top of the stairs. The walls are angled and it
can be difficult to stand up straight in certain areas. Melissa felt drawn to
the area just to the right at the top of the stairs. It’s a long, narrow room
with shelving along the center of the floor going down the length of the room.
There are windows at the very end. Robyn did note a feeling of being closely
watched as the two investigators sat at the top of the stairs while attempting
to gather EVPs. No voices were heard by either the investigators or on audio in
the attic.

The only other unusual occurrence to note was something strange we heard on the walkie
talkies. Melissa and Robyn were in the front room of the Magnolia House, Al and
Wanda were in the Cottage House and John and Kim were at Cent Comm. Melissa and
Robyn heard a voice, of sorts, coming through the walkie talkie. You couldn’t
make out what, if anything was being said but, it lasted perhaps about 5-10
seconds. Why this seemed unusual at the time is because the distance of Melissa
and Robyn to john and Kim’s position was relatively close. If one of the two
teams contacted the other through the walkies, you could hear it across the
house. You could hear them speaking from the house as well as into the walkie.
Melissa and Robyn’s walkie went off first and then several seconds later; the
very same thing could be heard across the house on John and Kim’s walkie. Robyn
called to everyone over the walkie to find out if anyone of them had called.
John answered that it wasn’t him and he had no idea who it could have been or
why the voice didn’t come over both walkies at the same time. Al answered back
that the only thing he had heard was Robyn’s voice asking if anyone had called
them. Al and Wanda had never heard the call that first Melissa and Robyn and
then John and Kim had. We all found it to be very unusual.

This case was an interesting one in that we expected more
results from the Magnolia House than what got. We were also intrigued by the
amount of activity in the Cottage House. It is our goal to go back again and
focus more of our time on that building than we did in this last case.

Evidence:

EVPs: There were a
number of EVPs captured in the Cottage House. Those can be heard on our EVP
page. From what we have gathered from those EVPs, there appears to be both a
male and female spirit in the Cottage House. The male has made it clear to our
investigators that he does not like having people snoop around his domain late
at night. This was made clear both physically and on audio. The female seems
friendly and curious about whom we were. She seemed eager to communicate and it
is our hope she will again the next time we go back.

Video: Nothing unusual was caught on the DVR.

Some of our investigators did have handheld video cameras
with them at times. Robyn took a Sony Handycam HDD with extra IR lights into
the Cottage House during the time she and Melissa went in to investigate the
building. She happened to catch a small orb fly next to the tree and appear to
go into a statue. This orb differed greatly in appearance and flight path from
the obvious insect “orbs” that were also filmed.

Al and Wanda left their video camera run inside the Cottage
House while they investigated the grounds outside. Their camera caught some
unusual noises in the background, seemingly from behind the camera. There was
also what sounded like taps on the camera’s microphone. And twice, the entire
camera itself jostled a bit.

Photographs:
Most of the photographs of interest contain orbs. Not your usual faint
looking dust orbs but, bright, colored and large orbs. Some even appear to have
depth and mass to them. One photograph appears to have a figure standing next
to Al, our Research Coordinator and Investigator. He said that there was no one
else on the porch with him at the time Wanda snapped the picture.

These photographs, along with all of the other evidence from
this investigation are available on our website for public review.

Summary
Report: It is the conclusion of LSPIR that the Magnolia House has some sort of energy in that one
front room. Though, we cannot, at this time, say without a shadow of a doubt
that there is paranormal activity there.

Upon review of the evidence taken from the Cottage House,
LSPIR is willing to say that there is paranormal activity at that location. A
more in depth investigation of that building is warranted. LSPIR would
appreciate the opportunity to investigate the activity in the Cottage House
further.

Here are the photographs of interest gathered from that investigation:

This first one was taken in the attic by Robyn while her and Melissa were up there conducting an EVP. While no EVPs were captured, this photo piqued our curiosity. If you save the image and zoom in to the right upper corner of the window at the back of the wall, there appears to be something in the window. Now, considering this is a glass window and are many things to consider when looking at a picture like this, it struck us as odd, nonetheless. We are claiming that this is a ghost in the window but, rather will leave that to you to decide.

If you still can't see what I'm showing you, maybe this next picture will help identify the pattern.

This next picture was taken just a few seconds after theabove photo. Now, this time, despite the almost identical angle the photo is taken, the image captured in the previous picture no longer appears to be there but, is seemingly replaced by yet another, very different image.

In this next photo, Melissa and Robyn are in the main room taking pictures before heading into the front room for an EVP session. Look very closely out the window on the right side through the bannister rails. You may have to save and zoom to see what most of us were able to notice right away.

When Melissa and Robyn were conducting their EVP session in the front room of the Magnolia House, Melissa, at one point stands up and holds out her hand. The encounter and description of what happened are in the report above. This picture was taken by Robyn while she stood next to Melissa during this time. Both women felt a cool, electrical sensation on their hands as they held them out for something to make contact. Look in the mirror of the vanity to the right and slightly above the investigator's reflection.

And here is a cropped and outlined version of this anomaly.

Now, given the fact that this image was captured in a mirror, we hasd to look for the possibility that it was nothing more than a streak on the mirror. We have another picture taken of that very same vanity, albeit from a slightly different angle. But, you can clearly see the one streak and one smudge from the previous picture. And behind the investigator was nothinig more than a covered window.

Now we move to the outside of the Magnolia House and the Cottage House. This next picture may look familiar to those of you that read our report of the main house investigation and viewed the incredible picture of the image on the bench. This picture was taken by our investigator, Al outside at the very same location as the other photo. While we were not able to catch a glimpse of the image on the bench again, it appears that there is definitely energy near that area. This is an orb just beneath that same bench. Quite a bright orb, too.

This next photograph is another example of what could just be an odd reflection in a window. But, you have to admit, this one in particular is freaky to look at. Save and zoom in at the door at the top of the stairs.

Now, this picture is probably the most baffling of all the photos taken that night. This photograph was taken by our investigator, Wanda while she strolled through the garden area. She took this picture up at the Cottage House of Al standing on the porch. What's so baffling about it?? Al was alone! The only other thing up there is a large Santa picture that hangs on the wall of the Cottage but, that must rest at least 3 feet above the ground! (Al is the one on the left)

Here is that photo cropped and with contrast...

Whatever this is, it appears to be as tall as Al (or that just could be the Santa Picture) but, the figure is much wider.

Al and Wanda both claim he was completely alone on that porch! So, what is it?

And so you can see the picture of the Santa on the wall and get an idea of that porch, here is a photo taken from the far end of the Cottage but, you can plainly see what is there and what isn't.
